Duties of the Department of Health Communication
a) Planning and preparing and having the campaigns prepared regarding health communication for a positive behavioural change towards improvement of health and to raise awareness in society for health promotion
b) Making animations, public spots and short films to improve health and raise awareness in society.
c) Making preparation of periodical and non-periodical publications and necessary materials in the field of health communication and carrying out printing and distribution activities.
ç) Evaluating the periodicals published by the units of the Ministry in terms of health communication and visual identity.
d) Evaluating the requests for permission about the usage of the logo and filming permission in health institutions and organizations that claimed by the institutions that support health promotion (Ministries, associations, non-governmental organizations, etc.)
e) Carrying out the publication of the data and the research outputs developed by the Ministry of Health, especially the Health Promotion indicators.
f) Ensuring the distribution of visual awareness materials (public spots, animations, short films, etc.) to national, regional and local broadcasting media organizations in coordination with the Radio and Television Higher Council (RTÜK).
g) Holding organizations to increase the motivation of healthcare workers offering health services.
ğ) Carrying out the activities to develop correct communication strategies with regard to relations between healthcare workers and patients.
h) Holding organizations such as congresses, symposiums, launches, meetings in order to raise awareness about health communication.
ı) Creating and maintaining the necessary content for internet-based broadcast services; so that the public can access accurate and understandable health information.
i) Carrying out activities that encourage the study of topics with health-promoting messages in the media.
j) Providing services such as preparing printed materials such as posters, brochures, booklets, video production, photo shooting and graphic design to be used in health communication practices.
k) Evaluating the websites of the Ministry's units and affiliated institutions in terms of visual identity applications.
l) Updating and monitoring the websites that are under the responsibility of the General Directorate.
